Finally! Woke up from a Nightmare!
Exam hall - D32
Venue : A.I.H.T
Event: PQT exam
Experience: Nightmare!
Well well well, I made it through the nightmare called “PQT - Probability and Queuing Theory”. The question paper was damn twisted and them examiners didn’t ask even one derivation. Problems required some careful thinking and analysis.
Not even 1 damned question was easy! and worse, I forgot the formulae for Queuing theory!! Thats it, one question down the drain. In the end, based on the statistical averages, got an assurance that I will pass the paper.
Next up - Computer Architecture!
2 commentsExam fever
Students like me are stricken with PQT fever. Marc, seriously dude, I wonder how you’ve gone through this semester as it is anything like Hell! Not even one subject is easy dude! It takes me 50 minutes to complete one question!!
Seriously, you can’t expect any student to mug up 30+ formulas in one Unit in math! But PQT demands the situation. I hope everyone passes off the paper.
1 commentBus Day for AIHT: 106
Well, today we had a so called “Bus Day” (crazy chumps). Students pooled out their cash and bought eatables like Cake, potato chips, puffs and soft drinks. Baloons were hung on the bars. First years made funny (farting) noises with the baloons.
It went peacefully and students were wise enough not to throw the color powders on the shirts. After two years, I get to experience a peaceful event. No unnecessary “AAAHHH” shouts, claps, whistles.. Friendly conversations, enthusiastic blowing and hanging baloons (with occasional farts and bursts)
All credits goes to II year E&I students and the first years.
5 commentsExams are Approaching… and I haven’t yet got my Hall ticket!
Yup, thats right! I haven’t got my hall ticket yet, for that matter, WE all haven’t got it! Stupid university! Curse them!
yo men, are they expecting us to on their beck and call? college is 26 Km from my home and worse, I have to travel in OMR, in that Dirt track and more worse, I have to bear that idiotic, stench centered AAVIN factory!
Curses!!
2 commentsUniversity practicals! A Complete washout…
This ain’t the good ol’ times, where you get easy experiments and stupid externals giving you 10/10 for their retarded Viva questions.. This is big time!
27th October, 2006 - OOPS Lab. Nature of the External - Dumb, Stupid, need to concentrate on developing the art of speaking english. Tough Viva Question: “why it is?” (I’m still wondering what the heck “Why it is” means)
31st October, 2006 - System software Lab. Nature of the External - Much worse. Asks too many Questions and makes you feel “uncomfortable” in the chair.
2nd November, 2006 - Digital Lab. Nature of the External - The Worst SOB of all! Man! I never thought he had the nerve to ask ECE HOD to do an experiment and prove him wrong! Tough Viva Question: “What is a Characteristic Equation?”
Three strikes, and I’m out!! Let me see if fairy luck favors me this time…
4 commentsUniversity Exams - Confusion Resolved!

The Lab Models are approaching..
Its time to face the situation again! I am faced with the problem, “Model Lab Exams”. Pretty tough, i have to mug up all the C-Codes and face our lecturers for the VIVA questions they ask. Same day, Same time, Only the situation in the Lab is going to be different.
Tensed faces, Busy hands(writing records) and noisy printers. The highway to hell starts with the System software. I am at a loss to find a way to Understand the 200 line C programs, which entirely was in the book and was copy pasted in my System as a C program. Though I can debug a bit, I need the main content.
Heavens, We have to finish our Digital lab in under 50 minutes. The Time that is required to connect the small wires won’t be enough!
God save me!
No commentsThe Advantage of First Impression…
They say (dont ask who), First impression is the best impression. It so happens in my case. Our college Lab assistant is such a NooB(Literally drools). I was able to impress him with my quick wit and neat sense of humor. When he found that I cracked his Linux OS Password ( which actually was a guess, out of 3,233,534,344 permutations), he was left speechless.
Then he kept on pestering me for some nice Technological sites, which eventually after a week, I gave.. the guy was simply impressed by the functionality of PhazeDDL and DDL2! Imagine my amusement! Thats when the rules are no more for me! I still wear slippers inside the Net Lab.
Then, As mentioned in Marc’s Blog, We have the bandwidth to ourselves. My current download statistics are, 400 MB Open source Utilities, 700 MB Vasool raja DVD Rip. Marc currently installed uTorrent and gave it in startup to download a couple of torrents.
Still more exploits to come.. However, I am content for one good reason. The guy will surely help me in the Semester Practicals.. (Sheesh! what all I need to endure to get the guy’s support)
PS: Its so nice to have control on someone, innit Marc?
