University practicals! A Complete washout…
This ain’t the good ol’ times, where you get easy experiments and stupid externals giving you 10/10 for their retarded Viva questions.. This is big time!
27th October, 2006 - OOPS Lab. Nature of the External - Dumb, Stupid, need to concentrate on developing the art of speaking english. Tough Viva Question: “why it is?” (I’m still wondering what the heck “Why it is” means)
31st October, 2006 - System software Lab. Nature of the External - Much worse. Asks too many Questions and makes you feel “uncomfortable” in the chair.
2nd November, 2006 - Digital Lab. Nature of the External - The Worst SOB of all! Man! I never thought he had the nerve to ask ECE HOD to do an experiment and prove him wrong! Tough Viva Question: “What is a Characteristic Equation?”
Three strikes, and I’m out!! Let me see if fairy luck favors me this time…

What can you expect from something called OOPS?
I believe he was referring to whyitis, which is a kind of disease resulting in the victim continually repeating the phrase “pourquoi, wer, why?”
well, not he, it was a she.. dumb though!
“What is a Characteristic Equation?â€
An equation that has various characteristics most of which include arbitary parameters relating to which enable the examination of in greater detail than possible without such equations.
Notes:
1. Always use the word ‘arbitary’ in your answers. No one knows what it means.
2. Say it out it one breath so that the examiner will think that you’re quoting it directly from the textbook, meaning, it has to be right.
3. Always use some term whose definition you already know. The examiner will latch on to that term and you get to answer a question you already know.
More tips on request at my blog.
Insert subject name after ‘relating to’ and experiment name after ‘examination of’.
