The Lab Models are approaching..
Its time to face the situation again! I am faced with the problem, “Model Lab Exams”. Pretty tough, i have to mug up all the C-Codes and face our lecturers for the VIVA questions they ask. Same day, Same time, Only the situation in the Lab is going to be different.
Tensed faces, Busy hands(writing records) and noisy printers. The highway to hell starts with the System software. I am at a loss to find a way to Understand the 200 line C programs, which entirely was in the book and was copy pasted in my System as a C program. Though I can debug a bit, I need the main content.
Heavens, We have to finish our Digital lab in under 50 minutes. The Time that is required to connect the small wires won’t be enough!
God save me!

Calvin and Hobbes say goodbye December 31, 1995 Web posted at: 7:45 p.m. EST
Calvin and Hobbes The end of 1995 also means the end of an era for comic strips. Sunday morning papers carried the final installment of the popular comic strip “Calvin and Hobbes.” After years spent chronicling the misadventures of a boy and his stuffed tiger, cartoonist Bill Watterson has put down his pen to seek other challenges. Calvin’s final words to his faithful friend Hobbes are “Let’s go exploring!”
The Final Comic strip:

Yet still I see the comic strips on the Supplementary of the Hindu. Beatle bailey is the other comic strip I love to read.
1 commentThe Influence of Alternation
ALTERNATION has claimed yet another victim… Me..
Past two days, I’m not myself.. Maybe, I am into more “The Other side” of the Lingua Anglais.
NEW ADDITION: To be Dynamic, Make sure your itinerary is underlied by the Principles of Optimality.
Some Quotes made by myself.
–> Language is invented by man to satisfy his deep need to complain.
–> To Increase speed, Add Lightness
–> Never be Unmindful of the Unlawful activities taking place unethically at an Unappropriate situation.
–> Don’t make my Vocal chord utter such a verse again!
–> Try to make your statements and exclamations more comprehendable
–> Emails to your friends lets them know your current self being written in electronic form of Bits and Bytes.
–> All that glitters are not gold, But have High refractive index
The Advantage of First Impression…
They say (dont ask who), First impression is the best impression. It so happens in my case. Our college Lab assistant is such a NooB(Literally drools). I was able to impress him with my quick wit and neat sense of humor. When he found that I cracked his Linux OS Password ( which actually was a guess, out of 3,233,534,344 permutations), he was left speechless.
Then he kept on pestering me for some nice Technological sites, which eventually after a week, I gave.. the guy was simply impressed by the functionality of PhazeDDL and DDL2! Imagine my amusement! Thats when the rules are no more for me! I still wear slippers inside the Net Lab.
Then, As mentioned in Marc’s Blog, We have the bandwidth to ourselves. My current download statistics are, 400 MB Open source Utilities, 700 MB Vasool raja DVD Rip. Marc currently installed uTorrent and gave it in startup to download a couple of torrents.
Still more exploits to come.. However, I am content for one good reason. The guy will surely help me in the Semester Practicals.. (Sheesh! what all I need to endure to get the guy’s support)
PS: Its so nice to have control on someone, innit Marc?

I am in a state of confusion now, whether to praise BSNL for providing us with new and faster access to internet or to Jeer at their stupidity. Few days ago, An Enterprising youngster( thats me ) found a neat trick to convert 256Kbps to 512 Kbps. I am not going to reveal the technique (Hehe.. of course, you can bribe me with a $100 note), and I am sure that 0% of the BSNL broadbanders know this.
Though it feels funny, speed at 512 kbps is too good to be true! I get a constant download speed of 70-80 KB/s which is above average! Owing to their Stupidity, I downloaded many DVD Rips, and still am in the process of downloading more.
One fine day, I logged in my account to check the usage. Surprises! The BSNL guys are calculating the time, for how long I have been in the 512 kbps mode. The Calculations are pathetic. They calculate the time (in Secs) for how long i have been in the 512Kbps mode and they divide it by 10. Viola! My Traffic in “KB” is calculated. Note, I downloaded 1GB per day and the amount of traffic I “ate” was a mere 1440 KB, meaning i have been using the 512Kbps mode for 14440 secs.
Poor marc, He was asking me to find an exploit for Airtel. But then, I have never used AirTel, so couldn’t help in that matter.
9 commentsFinally!
Phew, After my old blog got deleted, Marc set me one in his ampli5.org domain. Then came the problem of editing the Banner above. I called Marc, who told me to ask George, as he was in church. George quickly pointed to the thing I needed to change, and thats it, the baby is finally ready..
Have fun reading my Blog. Spread the word. –> http://hari.ampli5.org <–
